The Black Archives History & Research Foundation of South Florida, Inc.( Black Archives) is kicking off Black History Month with a weekend full of activities at the Historic Lyric Theater in Overtown. The 5th season of Lyric Live culminates with the Lyric Live All Stars show this Friday, February 1, 2019.

Lyric Live takes place every first Friday of the month at the Historic Lyric Theater and has become one of Miami’s staple arts and cultural shows. Hosted by local comedian Chello Davis, guests enjoy amateur entertainers who perform with hopes to sway the audience towards applause over boos.Each month’s winner returns the following month to defend their title with a new set of competitors. The season ends with a special Lyric Live All Stars show featuring all of the winners,special guest performers and celebrity judges.

Hosted by comedian Chello, the show features live music by Jody Hill & Deep Fried Funk Band, DJ H2, and Showtyme Junkanoo.
