This formerly known as the “Harlem of the South” neighborhood served as the epicenter for Black Miami!

You’ll meet up with our professional local tour guide in the beautiful lobby of the new luxury boutique hotel, Dunns Josephine, and will be led on a 60-75-minute walking tour that will immerse you in the rich culture and heritage of this historic Miami neighborhood.

Along the walking tour, you’ll visit historic sites where many Black celebrities and renown leaders such as Duke Ellington, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and millionaire Dana Dorsey slept, performed, partied and helped to build Miami.

The walking tour will culminate at a local soul food restaurant where you will enjoy some of the best southern cuisine in Miami.

Things to Know

• This is a walking tour and covers six (6) city blocks.
• Please wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.
• Sun hat and umbrella are optional.

Tour occurs rain or shine!

Tour requires a minimum of two (2) participants to take place.

Do you provide vegan or vegetarian options? Unfortunately, we can not guarantee vegan or vegetarian options. However, whenever possible, we try to include a vegetable option during the tasting. We also can not guarantee gluten-free options.
