Black Police Precinct and Courthouse Museum – ARRESTED DEVELOPING Exhibit

December 7, 2023 @ 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Donations accepted to support the museum.

People pay for what they do, and still more for what they have allowed themselves to become. And they pay for it very simply; by the lives they lead. The world is before you and you need not take it or leave it as it was when you came in.” – James Baldwin

The City of Miami Black Police Precinct and Courthouse Museum is excited to bring to Miami the creative artistic designs of Rich Rocket. Through the journey of self discovery, Rich Rocket learned that the majority of his development around his self-identity was comprised of his experiences, positive and negative, and his vision for how he wants to show up in the world. With these elements in mind, Rich Rocket continued to endure along the journey of discovery; making certain to never be “arrested ” by the projections of others and outside entities.

Come and experience these 1 of 1 works of art stories hand-designed on vintage garments, bags, shoes…etc. All works will be made available following the end of the exhibit. Co-Curated by: Terrance “VesSouL” Cribbs-Lorrant
