31 Jul SEOPW CRA SPOTLIGHT: FINANCE OFFICER, MIGUEL VALENTIN AND ASSISTANT TO THE FINANCE OFFICER, STEPHANIE MANRIQUE
Mr. Miguel A Valentin serves as the financial officer of the Agency since November 2003. He is responsible for the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, financial reporting for all aspects of the Agency, administration of the grants and other revenue sources, maintenance of all financial transactions and he is responsible for the proper authorized expenditures all sources of Agency funding.
Mr. Valentin is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida and obtained his master’s degree from Texas A & M International University in International Logistics. His past work experiences include the City of Miami Internal Audit Department as a Senior Internal Auditor, Miami Dade County Department of Environmental Resources Management as an accountant on FEMA projects, working in the private sector in the public accounting area and operational auditor with cost controlling responsibilities.
Mrs. Stephanie Manrique serves as the Assistant to the Financial Officer/Office Manager of the Agency since March 2005. She is responsible for the support of the Agency’s day-to-day transactions, including processing payments, grant management, human resources and payroll.
Mrs. Manrique has an Associate Degree in Accounting from Miami Dade College. Her past work experiences include the Miami Arena / Miami Sports and Exhibition Authority (MSEA) as an accountant.
