THE BLACK ARCHIVES HISTORIC LYRIC THEATER CELEBRATES COMPLETION OF LYRIC PLAZA ART INSTALLATION

The plaza in front of the Black Archives Historic Lyric Theater recently underwent renovations to enhance the outdoor open area. The renovations include the installation of a new drainage system, decorative pavers, landscaping, lighting and planters. The Southeast/ Overtown Park West Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) invested $185,000 into the construction and design.

This will provide a venue for outdoor performances and  events .  To commemorate the completion of the project, the Black Archives History & Research Foundation of South Florida, Inc.  held a reception on October 27, for the Museums Association of the Caribbean conference attendees. The reception was also hosted by Miami Commission Chairman Keon Hardemon, the CRA and the Greater Miami Conventions & Visitors Bureau.
