MIAMI, FL – June 24, 2016 – The Housing Trust Group is now accepting applications for Courtside Family Apartments. Courtside Family Apartments is a brand new affordable housing development located in Overtown adjacent to the Culmer Center at 1700 NW 4th Avenue, just minutes from downtown. The midrise building features 84 affordable rental units with one, two and three bedrooms and modern amenities.
Courtside Family Apartments is being developed by Retired NBA Player Alonzo Mourning and the Housing Trust Group to serve families earning no more than 60% of the area median income. In addition to the 84 affordable rental units, the property features state of the art amenities such as a theater / media room, business center, library, fitness center, laundry facility, community center, picnic area, outdoor grill, basketball court and playground.
The total cost of the project is $22.8 million with a $7.5 million contribution from the Southeast/Overtown Park West Community Redevelopment Agency.
